LEADERSHIP
Pierre Geara
General ManagerPierre Geara is a Civil Engineer, and Chairman of Acoustair Offshore. He graduated from ESIB-USJ (Beirut) with a ME in Civil Engineering, and a MS in Management and Economics. He was elected in 2013 as the head of the fifth Branch of the Order of Engineers and Architects (OEA) in Beirut which includes contractors, sub-contractors, and engineer workforce. He started his business in acoustics in Europe (France) in 1991, and was a member of the AAE: “Association des Acousticiens de l'Environnement”. He is a legal expert in engineering, and an active member of Rotary International.
Being one of the first engineers in France to develop the “Box in the Box” concept, he worked with well-known companies and established systems to control and reduce vibrations under buildings, caused by trains and metros, developing anti-vibration support systems.
Wanting the MENA region to be as advanced as Europe, Geara moved back to Lebanon in order to share his knowledge and practice in his field as being an acoustic specialist in Lebanon. He developed the acoustic field in his home country and in the Middle East region.
Geara is presently has been reputable in Lebanon and throughout the MENA region since 1997. He has led several teams of engineers in the field of acoustic and has contributed to numerous construction projects on an international scale. He has acquired wide knowledge and understanding of the acoustic industry through his wide experience.
As a long time engineer, he has also published a practical set of guidelines for architects and engineers to enhance acoustic frameworks, entitled: Acoustic Manual For Architects And Engineers. The book is the result of more than 30 years of experience and know-how in determining the type of designs and materials that should be applied to solve acoustical problems.
